Tell us about your role at Nine Peaks?
I am assisting clients with special projects, support, training and consulting services related to NuViewHR, CORT Payroll, and Laserfiche Document Management System.
Give us your 15-second background?
My background is deeply rooted in the Payroll Software Industry with a focus on technical support, consulting services, training, testing, and system analysis. I have nearly 22 years’ experience working with several Payroll and HRIS applications taking on various roles for implementations, project management, support, training, application sales, quality assurance testing, and development analysis.
How’d you come to be a Tech Sherpa at Nine Peaks?
Eric and I began working together over 20 years ago, and if you can believe it, I was one of several who interviewed him to join our team! It was a local software company where the owner and sole developer used to send a daily memo of what he had updated in the system the night before. Needless to say, that little software company and its customers grew exponentially! One of the greatest gifts from those days is to meet and work with some truly talented and caring people. Eric is at the top of that list! I am thrilled to be working with him and the amazing team at Nine Peaks!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
No two days are alike, literally. I very much enjoy working with people and taking on new challenges. I am a creative problem solver and love “finding the needle in the haystack”! Our team here at Nine Peaks and our customers are sophisticated and top notch. They really challenge me to be my best.
You’ve been in the technology world for more than 20 years, what’s the most significant change you see coming in the industry?
Automation of nearly every business process imaginable to almost any device; handheld to virtual, and for any reason!
What’s one piece of advice you can give clients?
Embrace the change and ride the wave! Not only am I reminded of this in the profession I have chosen but also in my personal life. I see my young children accel and grow by having technological advances available to them that weren’t in my day.
If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
Venice, Italy. I will visit there someday, bucket list item. I can’t wait to experience the awe-inspiring architecture and picturesque beauty. For a girl who grew up in the Mojave Desert of California, a place with waterfront palazzos, palaces, gondolas, bridges, and canals, is a place I have GOT to see!
What’s your favorite movie quote?
I have a lot of them! From all movies, comedy to drama. However, a favorite at the moment is “You’re killin’ me Smalls!” from the movie Sandlot. With twin 6-year-old boys who keep me on my toes 24/7 and truly keep me guessing when I am trying to outguess what they are going to do, I find myself uttering this often!
