Lauren Jensen - Director of Operations

Meet your Director of Operations – Lauren Jensen

Tell us about your role at Nine Peaks.

I started as a Content Management Specialist in July of 2020 during the pandemic. Everyone at Nine Peaks was working from home and that worked well for my schedule. I started training on the Laserfiche certification program and became Gold & Platinum certified. I have recently transitioned into more of a Project Manager role with our clients’ success as my top priority. Recently, I was promoted to Director of Operations. This has been such a great company to be a part of and watch grow!

What’s your career background?

I come from a background in hospitality, I grew up as a part of my family run restaurant and catering company in the Seattle area. For college, I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Sociology and Photography. Next, I jumped into an event management career, until the pandemic hit. I decided to make a career change and found a role in technology more stable.

How does technology play into your background?

I have always put technology first in every job I’ve held. It’s important to have the best and most current technology working for you. If a restaurant didn’t have a POS system, I made sure to bring one in. I can say in every position I’ve held there was a system change or upgrade. Now, I can say I have been on both sides of the implementation process. I love working with new companies to bring them the best possible technology so they can work smarter not harder!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love making a difference in someone’s business for the better. Knowing that we can set up companies to go paperless is very powerful. Our world is changing fast and we are able to keep organizations moving forward in this new age of remote work.

Now that your waist deep in the technology world, what’s the biggest change you see coming in the industry?

Everything! The fact that we can take any system and automate it is amazing. We are working with groups from all different areas HR, accounting, education and local city governments. One process doesn’t work for every organization, that’s why we talk to our clients to see what they need our system to do for them. Every form or workflow we produce in Laserfiche is unique to their company systems.

What’s one piece of advice you can give our clients?

Automation is addicting, once you get one process working fast you will want everything to work at the new speed. We can work with each department directly to create best solution for them. Each department will get exactly want they want in an upgrade and the company as a whole will connect on all new levels of accuracy. Connecting online in a Laserfiche Cloud improves your work-from-anywhere experience tremendously.

People are the foundation of Nine Peaks Solutions! We asked Lauren a few fun questions to get to know her a little more.

What do you think is the greatest invention of all time and why?

This is a hard question, there are so many greats – the wheel, computer, or the camera. I would have to say my personal favorite invention is the hot tub. It encourages me unplug and relax under the stars.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

With the lack of travel in the last few years, I have been wanting to get back to Mexico. You can’t beat some sunshine on a beach!
