Keeping Payroll Consistent in NuView CORT with Multiple Tax Entities
SJE-Rhombus is a large, established manufacturing company headquartered in Minnesota dedicated to quality – both in their products (liquid level controls for the water, wastewater, and sewage industries) and operations of their approximately 400 employees in seven locations around the country. When they acquired a new company in California, it was important the transition of payroll was seamless. They chose to engage Eric Skidmore of Nine Peaks, to assist with their NuView CORT and HR systems, due to their nearly 20-year relationship.
Nine Peaks provided an advanced solution to SJE-Rhombus’ challenge. The Californian firm was using ADP Payroll Services and SJE-Rhombus uses an integrated NuView HR and NuView CORT Payroll system. Since California has unique employment laws and reporting requirements, Nine Peaks changed the configuration, within the existing NuView and CORT applications, to an EIN by division setup and created multiple tax entities. This allows SJE-Rhombus to report out of one database. A huge time saver!
With a quick five-week turn around, SJE-Rhombus kept payroll consistent for their employees. Yearend reporting is expected to be straightforward (results to come!) with the new multiple tax entity solution. To top it off, the payroll integration project was completed on time and within SJE-Rhombus’ budget.
